Become Education
Our Year 6 students have been actively participating in the Become Education program, a new initiative at our school designed to help young learners discover potential career paths. This program not only introduces students to various professions, but also encourages them to think critically about their future aspirations.
Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming Mrs Matchett from the Vocational Innovation Centre at Seven Hills High School. She joined us to observe one of our lessons, where students engaged in interactive activities aimed at exploring different careers and the skills needed to succeed in them.
We believe that programs like Become Education are instrumental in preparing our students for the world beyond school, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to make informed choices about their futures.
Have a look at some of our students feedback so far:
"I've been inspired to become a police officer when I'm older. The Become website showed me many other jobs in the cop career."

"I have really enjoyed the Become program because you can explore so many different jobs. A job that I found interesting was a food taster. This is a great program for helping children get an idea of what they want to be when they are older."
-
Hugo 6C
"The Become program has showed me how many job opportunies there are. I realised that I could be a Just Dance performer and that if you look in one section of the website, you could see hundreds of jobs that relate to one topic."

The students look forward to continuing this exciting program and their excitement continues to grow for our Career's Expo that they will be leading later in the year.
